Traveler Flip Card for Father’s Day

Traveler” stamp set is a perfect set for masculine cards! I used the train from this set to make this Father’s Day card. I also used “World Map” background stamp for the side panel. To “aged” the paper, I sponged Crumb Cake ink with a sponge dauber around the edges.

This card was created with the Cicle Card Thinlits which cuts and scores the card for you to create this fun flip card!

“Big Day” Chalkboard Card

Which Sale-a-bration set is your favorite? (Don’t know? Check them out right here!)  This Birthday set called “Big Day” is on top of my list!  I used it to make this Birthday flip card!  I also used the new Chalkboard paper and the new ColorBox Chalk ink pads! The Chalkboard paper has a smooth grain that pairs perfectly with the Chalk ink pads! I love that contrast! I also used another Birthday stamp set called “Celebrate Today” (from the new Occasions catalogue p.11) This set has matching framelits dies to cut the balloon, banner, bow etc… Buy this set and Framelits as a bundle and save 15% on both!

Cute Penguin Flip Card

Today’s card is really cute and I’m quite happy about how it turned out!  Let me know if you like it!

I made this flip card with the Circle Card Thinlits dies. Flip cards are so easy to make with that die! When you pull on the left part, the circle “flip” and shows the other side,  it’s really cool! (You can see other flip cards here.) To make this cute penguin, I used the Owl builder punch. I also used the “White Christmas” stamp set for the greetings and the little snowman. The snowflake is from “Cheerful Tag” and matched perfectly the ones printed on the “Trim the Tree” Designer Series paper stack. I also used the tree from “Festival of Trees” in the background behind the penguin.

Materials:

Stamp sets: White Christmas, Cheerful Tags, Festivals of Trees

Cs and paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Soft Sky, Garden Green, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, “Trim the Tree” Designer Series paper stack.

Ink: White Craft ink, Garden Green, Memento Black ink, Soft Sky; Real Red, Garden Green and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Markers

Tools: Big Shot, Circle Card Thinlits dies, 2-1/2″ Circle punch, Owl Builder punch, Blossom Petal Builder punch, Blender pen

Instructions:

1. Using the Big Shot and Circle Card Thinlit die, cut a “flip card” in Crumb Cake card stock.

2. Cut a 2″ x 5-1/8″ rectangle in “Trim the Tree” Designer Series paper stack and adhere it on the right panel. Stamp 2 snowflakes in White Craft ink on the left panel. Stamp the greeting in Garden Green.

3. Cut a 2-1/2″ Circle in Soft Sky card stock. Stamp the trees multiple times in Garden Green ink. Cut a 2-1/2″ Circle in Whisper White and tear it just below half. Adhere on the Soft sky circle.

4. Make the penguin with the Owl punch. Cut off ears to make it look like a penguin. To make the beak, cut a small heart in Pumpkin Pie card stock. Make a little Santa’s hat. To make the present, cut a small rectangle in Garden Green card stock. Cut 2 Real Red hearts and a small circle for the “bow”.  Use the smallest petal from the Blossom Petal Builder punch to make his wing. Adhere on the circle and then on the card.

5. Cut a 2-1/2″ Circle in Whisper White. Stamp the greeting in Garden Green and the snowman in Memento Black ink. Color the snowman with markers. Add some Soft Sky “shadow” with the Blender pen. Adhere the circle on the back of the flip card.

Two more Masculine Flip Cards!

I’m in love with the flip cards! (But I think I already mentioned it in this post!!!) With the new Circle flip card, it’s so easy to create this really cool card! I made one for my son’s 12 birthdays and for my brother’s birthday. Since they are a bit similar, you get a 2 for 1 today!

So here’s the card I made for my son:

A fond! Gabriel A fond! Gabriel flip2

I really like this card because when you flip the card, the car seams like it’s moving forward! I used a few stamp sets on this card: Rev up the Fun! (the car and wheel tracks), Clockworks (all the gears), Gorgeous Grunge (ink splatters) and Just Sayin’ (word bubble). The card base is Island Indigo. I added a flap to write the message in the inside and I used Smoky Slate card stock on the top of the flap (RHS). The number 12 is made with Silver Foil card stock (p.193 in the new catalog!).

Material:

Stamp sets: Gorgeous Grunge, Just Sayin’, A fond! (Rev up the Fun!)(retired), Clockworks (retired)

CS and paper: Silver Foil card stock, Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, Whisper White

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, Silver Metallic ink, Basic Gray, Pool Party

Tools: Big Shot, Circle flip Card (#133480), 2-1/2″ Circle punch, Word Bubbles Framelits,  Sizzlits Alphabet dies (retired)

Here’s the card I made for my brother:

A fond! Francois 2014 A fond! Francois flip

A fond! Fracois close-up

This card is Basic Black and I used Silver metallic ink to stamp the gears on the front. It really “pops” on the Black card stock! I heat embossed the motorcycle with Pewter embossing powder and colored some part with Daffodil Delight, using the Blender pen, to match the yellow ink splatters (made with Gorgeous Grunge set). The right panel is also Smoky Slate card stock, stamped with Smoky Slate ink. The “WOO HOO” is from a new stamp set called Bravo.

Material:

Stamp sets: Gorgeous Grunge, Bravo, A fond! (Rev up the Fun!)(retired), Clockworks (retired)

CS and paper: Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Whisper White

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Silver Metallic ink, Versamark, Pewter embossing powder

Open Sea Flip Card

I’ve fallen in love with this new “Circle Card Thinlits”, which makes it so easy to create Flip cards! Here’s the first card (of many others to come!) that I made with the beautiful “Open sea” stamp set. I have added a flap on the right hand side that opens to write the message inside the card.
