Blast Off! Another card!!!

Well, you must know by now that I really like the “Blast Off” stamp set!!! I made another card that I want to share today with you.

For that one, I used the Markers to color the astronaut and I used the blender pen to add some Pretty in Pink for the cheeks.  The rocket was embossed with Pewter embossing powder and I colored the lights with the Markers.  I stamped the background with Pumpkin Pie ink over Pumpkin Pie card stock. (I also used the “star” stamp from Every Little Bits set.)  To make the ground, I tore down a scrap piece of paper and held it in place.  I then sponged over with Crumb Cake ink.  I found some left over “Just Add Cake” designer serie paper and I thought that the “circles” matched the rocket lights! Now, do you see the small yellow stars in the sky?  Do you wonder where they come from?  I just used the stamp with the planet, which also has little stars around it and I used the Daffodil Delight marker to color only the stars.  Then I stamped them randomly.

Stamp set: Blast Off, Every little bits,

CS and paper: Pumpkin Pie, Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Just Add Cake DSP

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, Stampin’ Markers in Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Marina Mist, Basic Gray, Versamark and Pewter embossing Powder.

Blast Off Scrapbooking page

As I already told you, I really like the new “Blast Off” stamp set!  I did a Scrapbooking page for my son’s 6th birthday using that stamp set.  The theme of his birthday party was “The Space”, so these stamps were totally appropriate!!!  Check out the cake I made for him!  I think I did a great job if I can say so!  I like how the “planet” stamp looks almost the same as the planet on the cake.  Maybe you’re wondering how I colored the planets (the stamps not the cake!) so they look “marbled”.  I just used my Stampin’ Markers in Pumpkin Pie and Real red, directly on the stamp and kind of blend them together. Pretty cool hein?

For the rocket, I embossed it with Pewter embossing powder and colored the lights with the Markers.  For the background, I stamped the stars from Blast Off set and also from “Every Little Bits” in White craft ink all over the page.  The designer paper is from Floral District (I thought the little flowers look much like stars) and the other one is from Twitterpated. I used a little piece of Vellum card stock for the “count down” and attached it with 2 glimmer brads.

Blast Off!

This new stamp set called “Blast Off” is sooo cute!!! and I made a “boy’s birthday card” today with it!  I used Pewter embossing powder for the rocket and I used a shaker frame with a window sheet for the window. It makes it appear more “real”…  For the background, I used “Not quite Navy” cardstock, stamped with White Craft ink. The greeting was embossed with Tangerine Tango Emboss powder.
