Birthday Cheer

Time is thicking for stamp sets available in the Occasion Catalogue! So I wanted to share a few cards I made with this stamp set before it’s retired! (You have until June 3rd and that’s it!) For the first card, I used the Detailed Birthday Edgelits Dies to cut the cupcakes in Blueberry Bushel cardstock. The background for both cards are stamps tone on tone, i.e. I used the Coastal Cabana ink on Costal Cabana cardstock. I used the Stampin’ Blends markers to color the hat and present on the second card. Lastly, a few sequins had a little puch of colors for a festive look!

Come back tomorrow for 2 more cards using the same set and framelits!

Saying good-bye to Artistically Asian

Artistically Aisan stamp set has beautiful images that you can use either with black ink to make a nice contrast or with colors like for the two cards below. I used the Stampin’ markers to color the stamp directly and stamp it. This stamp set will be retiring at the end of the month, so make sure to order it before it’s too late if you like that one!

Those 2 cards were done with exactly the same material (cardstock) and general template, but by changing the colors, you can have 2 completely different cards! Which one is your favorite?

For the background, I cut a 2.5 in circle in a piece of scrap paper and used it as a mask to sponge the color. I used Mint Macaroon and Wild Wasabi, (one color for each card).

For the pink flowers, I used 2 pink markers to make it even more interesting! (Blushing Bride and Primerose Petals. For the second card, I used Mossy Meadow for the green and Tangelo Twist for the flowers.

The little butterfly is from the new Beauty Abounds stamp set.

Dashing Deer quick and easy card

Here’s a quick and easy Christmas card for you today, done with the Detailed Deer Thinlits dies (matching the Dashing Deer stamping set). The little flower is also from that set. I also used 2 embossing folders, ”Softly Falling” and ”Woodland” in the background as well as a strip of designer paper, from the Festive Farmhouse series. Simply cut all the pieces and assemble! There’s not event a stamp, so no ink involved!

“Winter Woods” for the Fall!

This is another card made with the new “Winter Woods” Stamp set, but this time, it’s a nice Fall theme!

To achieve these nice Fall colors, I first inked the trees stamp with Crushed Curry ink, then I used sponge daubers and added more colors directly on the stamp. You want to add just a little of each color to create a nice combination and be able to see a little of each colors. I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Cajun Craze and colored the tree trunks with Soft Suede markers directly on the stamp.

For the background, I used Timeless Textures stamp set to add ink splatters and a nice border around the card base. I used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits to cut the little Maple leaf and used the sponge daubers to add ink to create a nice Fall leaf.

Winter Wood Season Card

Here’s the first Christmas Card of the season! I know it’s a bit early, but you can’t be wrong starting to make your Christmas cards in October! I like to have my Christmas cards done early, so I can focus on everything else closer to Christmas!

I used 2 new beautiful stamp sets: Winter Wood and Dashing Deer. Don’t you loved this new green color for the spruce? It’s called Shaded Spruce!

I used the Dazzling Diamonds glitters on the tree and the snow (I know it’s not as nice on the picture than for real), but trust me, this little bit of sparkling totally makes the difference!
