Christmas Quilt Stamp set

My new favorite Christmas stamp set is definitely the Christmas Quilt and Quilt Builder Framelits Dies! (You can get it as a bundle and save 10%) This stamp set and Framelits work perfectly with the Quilted Christmas Designer Series paper and the Quilt Top Textures Impression Embossing folder!

Simply cut a few of the quilt squares in different designer papers with the Framelits and mix and match to create many cards! It’s like creating a quilt, but way faster!!!

Here’s a few cards I made with this set!

Saying good-bye to Flower Patch Stamp set

Flower Patch stamp set and matching Flower Fair Framelits is soon to be retired! Get it before it’s too late (May 31, 2017!) I used it to make this really cool card using the Black Magic technique! We made this card last month at the Monthly Stamping club. If you want to learn cool techniques, don’t miss the next one on June 6, at 7:00pm! Register by email at julie_olivier@hotmail.com before June 2nd.

One of the item that I’m so sad to see going is the Owl punch! That’s the first punch I ever bought! I used it so much over the years! This owl is so cute! But what I like the most about this punch is the multiple uses that you can do with it! For example, making a tulip with the Owl punch is so easy! To see how to make this tulip, visit an older post : https://madewithpaper.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/owl-punch-week-make-a-tulip/

See all the cards made with the Owl punch here: https://madewithpaper.wordpress.com/category/card-samples/owl-punch-examples/

I’ve copied myself to make this card!!! Another set that have been around for a long time that is also retiring is the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and matching punch (Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly). I’ve also used it on this card (and so many others! You can see them here).

Special Reason-007

Material:
Stamp set: Papillon Potpourri (retiring), Four You (retired)
Paper and CS: Real Red, Very Vanilla, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Garden Green
Ink: Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral
Tools: Owl punch (retiring), Big Shot, Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits (retiring), Bitty Butterfly punch (retiring), Elegant Dots embossing folder (retiring), Sponge daubers, scissors, Dimensionals.

**Tips and Tricks:**

* To make the tulip, use the Owl punch. See instructions here.
* Use the sponge dauber to add ink to the tulip to add a dept effect. I used Cherry Cobbler over Calypso Coral card stock.
* Use the Bitty Butterfly punch to cut perfectly the little butterfly from Papillon Potpourri.
* I used the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits to cut the greeting “banner”. I also used the Calypso Coral ink over the edges to add more definition.

Sweet Tasty Trucks

Today’s card is made with one of the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set called Tasty Trucks. (Get it free with your order of $60 or more!) I made this card for my niece’s birthday. I used a piece of an old Designer Series paper (sorry can’t recall the name!) that matched really well the ice cream cone that comes with that stamp set! This paper is retired, however you can get a very similar Designer Series paper called “Tasty Treats“available in the Occasion mini-catalogue on p.33.

I used the markers and my blender pen to color the truck. Then I cut out one of the ice cream cone from the designer paper and glued it on top of a 1-1/4” pink circle, for an instantaneous “embellishment”!

My favorite item is the new Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and matching Detailed Dragonfly thinlits dies! Get the bundle and save 10%! See the tri-fold card I made with it below!

To make this tri-fold card, I used the beautiful Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper and the new Detailed Dragonfly thinlits. I used Island Indigo 12″ x 5.5″ card stock for the base.
