“Winter Woods” for the Fall!

This is another card made with the new “Winter Woods” Stamp set, but this time, it’s a nice Fall theme!

To achieve these nice Fall colors, I first inked the trees stamp with Crushed Curry ink, then I used sponge daubers and added more colors directly on the stamp. You want to add just a little of each color to create a nice combination and be able to see a little of each colors. I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Cajun Craze and colored the tree trunks with Soft Suede markers directly on the stamp.

For the background, I used Timeless Textures stamp set to add ink splatters and a nice border around the card base. I used the Seasonal Layers Thinlits to cut the little Maple leaf and used the sponge daubers to add ink to create a nice Fall leaf.

Winter Wood Season Card

Here’s the first Christmas Card of the season! I know it’s a bit early, but you can’t be wrong starting to make your Christmas cards in October! I like to have my Christmas cards done early, so I can focus on everything else closer to Christmas!

I used 2 new beautiful stamp sets: Winter Wood and Dashing Deer. Don’t you loved this new green color for the spruce? It’s called Shaded Spruce!

I used the Dazzling Diamonds glitters on the tree and the snow (I know it’s not as nice on the picture than for real), but trust me, this little bit of sparkling totally makes the difference!

Enjoying the end of Summer

I have a nice card today to celebrate the end of summer! I hope you can picture yourself on the beach, enjoying a nice breeze on a sunny day!!! My kids are going back to school tomorrow! Hard to believe Summer is already over!

I used the nice “Waterfront” stamp set for the background (the palm trees, sun, island). The leaves are from Tropical Chic stamp set and the chairs are from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. For the sand, I used Sahara Sand card stock that I teared down and stamped with little dots from Waterfront stamps. I sponged the water with Pool Party ink.

Varied Vases in Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy

One of my new favorite punch in the new catalogue is called the “Vases Builder Punch” and it matches the Varied Vases stamp set. I’ve used it to create many cards and I’m sharing one with you today that we’ve made at my last Stamping class.

The Yellow and Navy blue complement each other in this card, giving a nice contrast!  The Softly Falling embossing folder adds some texture to the card.

Climbing Orchids and Jar of Love

My card today is the card I made for my Mother’s birthday. I used the beautiful Climbing Orchids stamp set, with the branch from Seasonal Layers Thinlits and the jar stamp from “Jar of Love”. The orchids were stamped with Melon Mambo ink and then colored with the Aquapainter. I really like the watercolor effect!
