Happy Easter with Daffodils

The new Daffodil Daydream stamp set is perfect for Spring! With greetings for Easter and Mother’s Day, it also has coordinating Daffodil dies!

For this card, I wasn’t sure if I was pleased with the stamped border both at the top and at the bottom, so I ended up doing 2 versions of the same card. They are very similar, but you can let me know which one you prefer!

Material used:

Stamp: Daffodil Daydream

CS and paper: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Basic Black, Daffodil Afternoon DSP (from SAB)

Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Memento Black, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends marker

Dies: Stitched Shapes Dies

“Bunny” Hamburger Box perfect for Easter!!!

Have you seen this Hamburger Box Bigz XL die in the Stampin’up catalogue? It’s such a fun way to make your own box!!! I made this design for Easter and I think you will like it as much as I do!!!

I wanted to add some dimension to my bunny face, so I used white cotton balls, a pink pompom and big googly eyes (from your local craft store or Dollar store). I cut 2 ears out of Whisper White card stock and color the center with a Pink Pirouette marker. The whiskers are made with 2 tiny strips of Basic Black card stock, attached in the center under my pink pompom.

Easter Card Craft for Children

Easter is coming soon! I can’t believe it’s already next week!!! I have a nice and easy card for you to make with your children for Easter. Perfect to give either to the Grand-parents or the teacher!

Pâques carte lapin

The background is Pear Pizzazz card stock embossed with the “Vine Street” embossing folder (which is still available on the Clearance Rack for only $2.99! Only while supplies last). The bunny is made with the 1-3/4″ Circle punch, the 1-1/4″ Circle punch and the Blossom Petal Punch (also from the Clearance rack!) I used some buttons shaped like flowers to complete the card. If you can’t find flower buttons, you could cut some flowers with the Boho Blossom punch instead.

Easter card with Secret Garden

This is the card I made for my parents for Easter. I know Easter is already gone, but this card could easily be done for another occasion as well.  I used the really nice set from the Occasion mini-catalogue called “Secret Garden”. (You know, the one that has matching Framelits to cut your flowers!!!) I sponged the flowers and leaves edges to add “depth”.  The bigger flower was stamped three times, and I cut the center parts to layer them.

If you think you’ve seen one similar card, you are right! I “cased” myself and re-did a previous card that I did last year! You can see it here. Which one do you like the best?

Easter Craft for kids: Sheep Card

This is another craft I made at my Children Craft Workshop (with children in Junior and Senior Kindergarten).

mouton

Inside:

mouton ouvert

To make the card, we started with a 8.5″ x 11″ White cardstock page fold in half. Cut the sheep shape: a half circle with a little tail. Cover with Tombo multipurpose glue and cotton balls. I cut each cotton ball in 3 so it’s not as thick. Cover the whole card front. Cut 4 black rectangles for make the legs.

Cut the head in Black cardstock, add 2 googly eyes and a little bow.

Easter Crafts for Kids

I was invited during March break to do a Craft Workshop at a Kanata daycare (Coeur des Jeunes).  We made Easter crafts and I will share a few today and tomorrow.

First one is an Easter gift bag.  My daughter who is 6 years old made that one:

sac cadeau de Paques

We used a craft bag from the Dollar Store and covered it with blue tissue paper.  Green creped paper was used to make the grass.  The basket cut by the children and were ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Each child was given 4 eggs (cut out with the Extra-Large Oval punch) and they decorate them with markers. The sun was cut with the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle and stamped with Wisteria Wonder ink. They  used white paper to “tear” some clouds and we added a butterfly cut with the Elegant butterfly punch.

I wish I could show you all of the wonderful bags made by the children!!! They were really amazing!

Easter Quick Craft for Kids: Chick and basket

Easter is just around the corner and here’s a quick craft to make with the kids.  Make sure to check my Blog all week as I have more Easter ideas for you!!!

I used the Extra-Large Oval punch to make the egg and the chick body. (Let the child decorate its egg with markers as he feels.)  For the chick, the wings were cut from the Oval Scallop punch, little flowers (from Boho Blossom punch) for the feet, googly eyes and a beak. Voilà!

For the basket, I cut a Big Scallop Circle with the Big Shot. I cut it in half and ran it throught the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I glued the two halves together, leaving the straight edge open (to insert the egg and chick).  Add a strip for the handle and you’re done!

Secret Garden Easter wishes

I’m giving you another sneak peek of my Friday Sale-a-bration Send-off class… We’ll be making this card which is perfect for Easter or birthday or any other occasion you might need! I used one of the set from the mini-catalogue called “Secret Garden”.  That’s a really nice floral stamp set and the best is that it also has coordinated Framelits dies to cut your flowers! No more tedious cutting around all those petals! I especially like the leaves because those are the hardest to cut! Save 15% when you buy the stamps and framelits as a bundle!

Secret garden

To make my card, I stamped the flowers in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso and added some yellow with a sponge dauber. It really makes a big difference and adds a “Spring” feel to it! (We need it those days!!!) The greeting is from a retired set.
