I made this card based on a Sketch for the “Around the World Challenge AW08”. If you like my card, you can click on this link and go vote for it!!!
I always like to use Black, Red and Gold to make a romantic Valentine’s Day card. These colors are so rich together, it’s always a winning combination!
I used the new Stamp set from the Occasions mini-catalogue called “Language of Love” to stamp the hearts in the center. One was embossed with gold embossing powder and the second with Black embossing powder. I then used Cherry Cobbler ink and sponge it to on the second heart to make it really stand out! I also used the Banner Blast stamp set (that you can get for free as one of the Sale-a-Bration set, starting January 28) and the “Hearts a Flutter” stamp set for the smaller pennant at the bottom, also embossed with gold embossing powder.
Do you like the new Gold Sequin? You can buy it as a trim to add some “bling” to your projects! It’s on p.23 of the mini-catalogue. (Item #132983). You get 10 yards for $6.50. You can also take the sequin off the trim and glue them separately like I did on this card. Really cool new accessory!
