Foxy Friends Christmas card

I told you I really fell in love with the Fox Builder punch and Foxy Friends stamp set. Here’s one other card that I did with this amazing bundle! I think this little racoon is so cute!!! What I like about this stamp set is that it includes so many elements: the trees, the tree stump, all the different faces for the animals, and even cute mushrooms!!! I used the dazzling diamonds to add some sparkling touches on the trees and on the snow. (I know it’s not so obvious on the picture.)

Christmas in July

I had made this card for the “Christmas in July” theme but I didn’t get around to post it before! So since today’s the last day of July, I thought I’m better to post it today!!!

I used the same background as for my Iris Folding Butterfly (check previous post), which was made with the new Brick Wall embossing folder.  I used the beautiful wreath from “Wondrous Wreath” Bundle (it comes with matching Framelits!) For the wreath, I used Wild Wasabi and Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler ink pads. I also added some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details to add a touch of sparkle!

Some Tags for your Christmas presents!

Christmas is coming so fast! Are you ready?  Make these last minute tags for really special gifts! I used the Scalloped Tag punch topper to create these tags in only a few minutes!

I used the Under the Tree Specialty designer paper for the first two tags. This printed card stock is perfect for tags and to create boxes with the Gift Box Punch Board! It’s already printed with nice Christmas pattern so it’s really fast! I used the Cheerful Tags set for the first tag. The snowflake stamp matches the card stock pattern… I think that’s pretty cool!!! For the second tag, I used the Festival of Trees and matching Tree punch. The last tag was made with Crumb Cake card stock, a strip of Trim the Tree DSP stack and the Merry Everything stamp set. I used the little star punch from the Itty Bitty Punch pack to cut 3 little Gold glimmer stars.

The Christmas catalogue is coming to an end really soon! If you want to order anything, make sure to so it before the end of the month!

Festival of Trees Card

The Tree punch that matched the Festival of Trees stamp set is really one of my favorite tools in the Holiday catalogue. You can make really nice Christmas cards in no time at all! For this card, I used the “Top Note” die in the background, embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder. I used the “Trim the Tree” Designer series paper stack to make the trees and a little Gold glimmer star really adds a sparkly touch!

Many Merry Stars in Silver and Wisteria Wonder

For this card, I used an “non-traditional” Christmas color: a light purple called “Wisteria Wonder”.  Combine with Whisper White and Silver, I really like how it turned out! I used the Confetti Stars punch to create this really cool border! The stamp set that I used for the star is called “Many Merry Stars“.  I stamped it in Wisteria Wonder ink on Whisper White card stock.  I cut the stars with the Star Framelits Dies collection. The biggest star is made out of the Silver Foil card stock. I finished the card with Frosted sequins.

Holiday Homes Card in a Box

This Fall, I had a lot of fun teaching “How to make a Card in a Box” at the Ottawa Public Library! The “card in a box” can lay flat to fit in an envelop and than becomes a “box” when you open it! It’s an amazing surprise every time!!! I made this Christmas theme “card in a box” as an example to show at my class. I used the Holiday Homes stamp set and matching framelits to cut the houses. I colored the houses with the Blendabilities Markers. The box was decorated with the “All is Calm” Specialty Designer series paper.

Here’s the basic instructions to make a Card in a Box.

Create a card that lay flat when closed but open into a 3D card.

Directions:

  1. Cut a piece of card stock of 5-1/2” x 9”.

  2. Score vertically at 2-1/8”, 4-1/4”, 6-3/8” and 8-1/2”. Score horizontally at 2-3/4”. Cut along the vertical scored lines up to your horizontal scored line. Cut off the small rectangle at the end. Form your box and glue the flap in place. (see picture)

  3. Cut three 1-7/8” squares of Designer Series paper. Adhere on the “open flaps” on the box. Cut one 1-7/8” x 4” rectangle of Designer series paper. Adhere on the inside back of the box.

  4. Add 2 inserts in the box: 1” wide x 3” long. Score at 1/2” and at 2-5/8”. Fold on scored lines and glue in your box.

  5. Decorate with some embellishments, stamps, etc.
