A special Card in a box for a 60th anniversary

Happy Canada Day! I have 2 posts for you today!  Here’s the first one…

My aunt celebrated her 60th birthday and I wanted to give her an extra special card, so I made her a “Card in a Box”. I used the new “Pretty Petals DSP stack” which have beautiful designs, for the background!  For the inside of the “box”, I used the Pansy punch and Flower Shop stamp set and the Petite Petal punch and stamp set.  The butterfly is from Papillon Potpourri which also has a coordinated punch.

I also added the number “60” (cut with an older die and Big Shot),and I used Silver Foil sheet for an elegant look!

For instructions on how to make a “card in a box” check this post: https://madewithpaper.wordpress.com/2014/12/04/holiday-homes-card-in-a-box/

Flower shop card kit

Flower Shop and Washi Tape Card

Today’s color combo is one that I truly like: Smoky Slate and Daffodil Delight. It’s fresh and classy! I used the Flower Shop stamp set and the coordinated Pansy punch to make this cute card. Some Designer Washi Tape helps to complete the card.

Flower shop smoky yellow

Stamp set: Flower Shop, Something to Say.

CS and paper: Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White

Ink: Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight

Tools: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Pansy punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack

Accessories: Epic Day This and That Washi tape, Beach House Washi Tape, Basic Jewel Rhinestones

1.  Cut half a sheet of Smoky Slate card stock (8-1/2 x 5-1/2). Fold in half to form the card base. Run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (on the front only).

2. Cut a 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ rectangle in Daffodil Delight card stock. Cut a 4″ x 3″ Whisper White rectangle. Stamp 3 flowers in Daffodil Delight and in Smoky Slate on the upper left corner. Add 2 strips of Washi tape. Stamp your greeting (from Something to Say stamp set.) Adhere the white piece on the Daffodil Delight piece. Glue in place on the card.

3. Stamp one Daffodil Delight flower on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Cut the flower using the Pansy punch. Cut a small flower with the Itty Bitty Accents flower Punch. Adhere on top of the pansy flower. Add a small rhinestone in the center. Adhere on your card with dimensionals.

Chalk Talk meets Flower Shop!

Today’s card is one of my favorite color combo: Pink and Black! Although I’m not a big fan of pink in general, I think that a Black card with some pink is always very elegant!!!

I used the Chalk Talk stamp set (and coordinated framelits to cut it) as the focal point. I added a Blushing Bride flower (from Flower Shop) and some little flowers from the new Itty Bitty Accents punch pack. I wanted to have some white dots in the center of my flowers, so I added some little pearls and I used the Chalk marker to make little white dots in the center of the biggest flower.

For the background I used the Modern Mosaic embossing folder. If you want to see another Black and Pink card, click here!

Watercolor Wonder Note Card meets Scalloped Tag Topper punch

I have a quick an easy project for you today! By using the Watercolor Wonder Note Card (those cards are pre-printed, 20 per package with 5 different designs; see them here), you can make a card in about 10 minutes!

I used the new Scalloped Tag Topper punch to make my tag in no time! Simply cut a 2″ strip in Smoky Slate card stock and cut it as a tag with the punch! The flower is from Flower Shop stamp set.  Each flower in that set matches the Pansy Punch, so it’s really easy to cut. I finished the flower with a small flower from Itty Bitty Punch pack and a pearl.
