My New Paper Frame just in Time for the Christmas Bazaar at Elisabeth-Bruyère School

I’ve been working on this Paper Frame lately. I wanted to do a Christmas theme frame and I think I succeeded! This frame along with some others that I made, will be for sale tomorrow at the Elisabeth-Bruyère Elementary School Christmas Bazaar.  Come and see me, from 9:00 to 3:00, at 100 Stonehaven Drive.  Admission is free!

Cardinal Noel Frame-001

The bird is made with the “Iris Folding Technique”.  I used the Ornamental Pine stamp set for the pine in the background. The Poinsettia is a retired stamp from last year that I stamped multiple time to layer it and give dimension. I embossed the branch with the Woodgrain embossing folder to give texture.

Artisan Award Entry #10: Vintage Bird and flower

This is the last of the 10 entries for this year Artisan Award!  I saved my favorite for the end!  I bought a wooden brid shape at a local craftstore and I basically covered it with Designer Series paper, ribbon, lace and flower trim.  A little sponging, folding, embossing and cutting and here’s my bird! (Well, sounds like super simple but it took a little time to make it right!!!)  Both sides were finished symmetrically. I also made a flower with the creped filter paper that I sprayed with a mixture of Island Indigo and Rubbing alcohol. Do you like it? What do you think? Leave me some comments!!!
