A special Card in a box for a 60th anniversary

Happy Canada Day! I have 2 posts for you today!  Here’s the first one…

My aunt celebrated her 60th birthday and I wanted to give her an extra special card, so I made her a “Card in a Box”. I used the new “Pretty Petals DSP stack” which have beautiful designs, for the background!  For the inside of the “box”, I used the Pansy punch and Flower Shop stamp set and the Petite Petal punch and stamp set.  The butterfly is from Papillon Potpourri which also has a coordinated punch.

I also added the number “60” (cut with an older die and Big Shot),and I used Silver Foil sheet for an elegant look!

For instructions on how to make a “card in a box” check this post: https://madewithpaper.wordpress.com/2014/12/04/holiday-homes-card-in-a-box/

Anniversary Card for my husband

I would like to share with you the card I made for my dear husband for our anniversary. I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlits die that coordinates with the Honeycomb Hello stamp set. (Buy them together as a bundle!) I also used the Word Bubble Framelits and Just Sayin’ stamp set.

The background is Hello Honey card stock and the “hive” is Daffodil Delight card stock. I cut small flowers in Blackberry Bliss card stock with the new Itty Bitty Accent punch. This dark purple makes a great contrast with the yellows! I like this cute little bee that goes perfectly with the hive!

Anniversary Birds Card

Lately my parents celebrated their 40th Anniversary! This called for a very special card! This is the card I made for them. As they both love birds, I thought that it would be a nice touch to incorporate birds inside my design! I used the Bird Builder punch for the birds, the Heart collection Framelits and 2 embossing folders, Elegant Lines (which is on sale right now, on the retiring list for $7.46) and Framed Tulips. I used Crumb Cake ink to sponge over the embossed parts as well as to outline the birds. A little rose from the Flower trim and the Crochet Trim complete the card.

40th Anniversary card

My in-laws celebrated their 40th anniversary in March. I wanted to make a really special card for them! 40 years together is truly amazing!

So here’s the card I made for them. The flowers were made with the Boho Blossom punch and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack. I sponged each flower for a softer look. The background was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder and sponged with Crumb Cake ink. I used the Apothecary framelits to cut the shapes around the “40”.
