Special week Nov12-18

So, here’s today’s project:

Gift Bow box Gift Bow box2

These bows are so cute and easy to make with the Gift Bow Bigz L die. They make such a cute package! We made these boxes at my last Stamp Club night and everyone really liked them! (Some even said that they didn’t want to give it away!!!)  We added a Frosted Finishes Embellishment in the center of the bow and it really added a nice finishing touch!

The box is a 3-1/2″ square Kraft box (Item #124106) sold in pack of 4 for $3.50. I cut a 2″  x 12″ strip in the Winter Frost Designer Series paper and wrapped it around the box.  I cut a 3″ circle in Island Indigo card stock with the Big Shot and 3″ Circle Bigz die and I embossed it with the Pretty Print embossing folder. I glue the bow on top of the circle with a Stampin’ dimensional. The strip of Designer paper is just a little too short to wrap around the whole box, so you have to add another piece such as the circle to attach both ends together. (I glued the 2 ends of the strip under the Indigo circle.)

I used the gift tag from Christmas Collectibles stamp set and cut it with the Christmas Ornament punch to complete the project.

NaBloPoMo Day 11: Gift Bow die Angel

I have a cute craft for you today!   This is a perfect craft for children too!

I have seen these little angels on the net and I thought I should give it a try! With the new Gift Bow Bigz L die (available in the Holiday mini-catalogue) it’s really simple to put this little angle together! Using the Gift Bow Bigz L die, cut the parts to make to bow. Add a 1″ pink circle and a 1-1/4″ Silver Glimmer paper to make the head.  I stamped the “Merry Christmas” (Joyeux Noël) in Island Indigo on a strip of Whisper White card stock and folded it (to add some dimension). I used the Boho Blossom punch to make the hands, simply cutting a few petals of the little flower.  Add a silver ribbon at the back of the head to hang it anywhere!

Gift Bow card

Material:

Stamp set: Snowflakes Soiree, Christmas Collectibles, Teeny Tiny Wishes

CS and paper: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Season of Style DSP Stack

Ink: Metallic Encore Pad Gold, Gumball Green, Smoky Slate and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Markers

Tools: Big Shot and Gift Bow Bigz L die, Christmas Ornament punch.

Accessories: Season of Style Designer Washi Tape, Linen thread

Instructions:

1. Cut half a sheet  (5-1/2″ by 8-1/2″) of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Fold in half to make the card base.

2. Cut a 5-1/8″  by 4″ rectangle in Crumb Cake cardstock. Stamp with small snowflake (from Snowflakes Soiree set) in Gold ink all over.

3. Put Washi tape across the rectangle in both directions, to make a “cross”. (This will form the “ribbon” of the gift on the card.)

4. Use the Big Shot and Gift Bow Bigz L die to cut the smaller bow. Fold pieces and attach together.

5. Stamp the Christmas Collectible ornament on Whisper White card stock. (Use the Cherry Cobbler Marker and omit the “To: From:” part on the stamp. Color the top part with Smoky Slate Marker.) Stamp “Merry Christmas” in Gumball Green on the ornament. Cut with the Christmas Ornament punch. Attach with a linen thread under the bow.

6. Attach the bow with a dimensional on the Crumb Cake rectangle. Adhere it to your card base.
