One last “Need for Speed” Card

Even though the stamp set “Need for Speed” is now retired, I wanted to show you this card I made for my son’s birthday. I know a few of you have this set, so I hope this inspire you to use it!
In the background I used the very nice (but also retired) World Spectacular DSP. I colored the ATV with my blender pen and Cherry Cobbler and Island Indigo ink pads. I colored the wheels with the Basic Gray Marker.

Saying goodbye to Need for Speed (another card!)

Here’s another card I made with Need for Speed stamp set! It was for my son’s friend (another one!) who just turned 10.  I also used “Clockworks” stamp set in the background.  As I said yesterday, this set will be retiring soon and I’m a bit sad because it was such a great stamp set for boy’s birthday cards!

Saying Good-bye to Need for Speed stamp set (Jet plane)

If you looked at the Retiring stamp sets list, you’ll see that “Need for Speed” set will be discontinued at the end of May. If you want to get it, now’s the time!!!

I made this card for my son’s friend who turned 11 years old, and he loved it! The background paper is from World Spectacular DSP and I thought it looked just perfect! (It’s on sale right now, 25% off!!!) I colored the jet plane with the Watercolor Wonder crayons and sponged some Baja Breeze in the sky with a sponge daubber.

Need for Speed Take 2!

This is a card I made for my neighbor’s son who just turned 9 years old. I used the same stamp set as my last post, “Need for Speed”. Great set for little boys!!!

For this card, I also used the Chevron embossing folder and sponged it with Basic Gray ink to make it look like tires (kind of…).  I also sponged around the car to do the “street”. I colored the car with the blender pen and Real Red ink.

Need for Speed Birthday card

Cards for little boys are sometime tricky to make, but this set (Need for Speed) is the best! I made this card for my nephew who’s turning 8 and I had a lot of fun making it!  I used foil paper and embossed it with the Chevron folder, for a very “cool” look! Here’s a little tip: Cut a piece of cardstock the size you want and cover it with foil, using snail adhesive to stick it. Cut your foil bigger than your piece of cardstock so you can wrap it around it, for a nice finish. Than run it through the Big Shot with your embossing folder.

For the car, I stamped it 3 times to make it appears like it’s going very fast.  I colored the car with markers and with the ink and blender pen. The “Bonne Fete” is from Voeux Mignons and I used the “Bonne Fete des peres” stamp, but just used the 2 first words… We need to be creative since Stampin’up don’t give us many “Bonne Fete” stamp!!! (Tip: if you don’t want to stamp the whole image, just use your Stampin’ Marker on the part you want!)

I hope you like it! I think my nephew did!
