One more masculine card with Open Sea

The Open Sea” is one of the first stamp set that I bought! It’s been around for quite a while!!! But it’s such a nice and classic set, if you don’t own it, you’ll want it for sure! Over the years, I made many masculine cards with this set. Here’s one that we made at my last class. I like this old parchment look! Simply use Very Vanilla cards stock, tear some bits around the edges and ink with Crumb cake.

I used Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla for the colors.

Traveler Flip Card for Father’s Day

Traveler” stamp set is a perfect set for masculine cards! I used the train from this set to make this Father’s Day card. I also used “World Map” background stamp for the side panel. To “aged” the paper, I sponged Crumb Cake ink with a sponge dauber around the edges.

This card was created with the Cicle Card Thinlits which cuts and scores the card for you to create this fun flip card!

Father’s Day card “Shirt and Suit”

I have a great Father’s Day card for you today! It’s simple enough that even children could do it!

veston

Here’s the tip for the shirt. If you fold the upper left corner to create the shirt collar, the pattern on the back of the designer paper is not the same. So here’s how I did it: I cut the lower right corner and glued it at the back of the collar. Then fold to make the collar and add 3 small buttons. (Glue dots work best!) Adhere on your card base.

veston chemise

For the suit, cut a piece 3-5/8″ x 5-1/2″ of Island Indigo card stock. Fold the upper left corner to make the suit collar. Add another little triangle to finish the collar. Add a pocket and some seam lines made with a Island Indigo marker. What’s fun is that you can hide a little message in the pocket!

Bird House

I made this card thinking about my Grandfather who probably built dozens of brid houses in his life!  Of course, I used the Bird Builder Punch to make the bird!  Then, with White Craft ink and the blender pen I added some details. I used the background stamp Woodgrain to make the bird house.

For the background, I sponged with Wild Wasabi and added some leaves from the Fabulous Florets stamp set.

Stamp set: Woodgrain, Voeux Mignons, Fabulous Florets,

CS and paper: Bashful Blue, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Marina Mist, Whisper White.

Happy Father’s Day card

This is a card I made for Father’s Day and also to participate in “the SoShelli.com Creative Challenge” which has “Father’s Day projects” as the theme for this month. Since I didn’t have a stamp that has the greeting I wanted, I had to improvise a little bit… I used the words from “Petite Pairs” stamp set and rearrange some of them so it would say what I wanted!

I’m really happy about how this one turned out!  I wanted to do a “shaker frame” with some screws, nails and bolts inside, as it’s really a “guy” thing!!!

The hammer is from “Every Little Bit” set. I colored it with the markers and used the blender pen to add some shadow… The wood planks were stamped using the “Woodgrain” stamp with Early Espresso ink, on Crumb Cake card stock.  I sponged the edges with Early Espresso to add some dimension.

Now for the inside, suprise!!! Here’s what Dad built with some wood, screws and nails!!!

There’s 2 brand new products that I used and that’s a little “Sneak peek” for the new catalogue.  Can you spot them?  The leaves were made with a stamp from Betsy’s Blossom set. Make sure to check my blog for some more sneak peek this week!!! The “you’re the best” is also from re-arranging some words in the Petite Pairs set and the “Love you” is from a brand new set called “Itty Bitty Banner”.  This set is so cute and versatile, I’m sure you’ll see it many times in my future posts!!! I couldn’t resist using the “Bigz L die Peekaboo frames” for the window.  I used an “happy face” from the Every little Bit stamp set.

Here’s the list of supplies:
