Artisan Award Non-Winning Entry Day 8: Blossom Flower Tri-Fold card

This is the last card that I had to show you… (You needed to submit 5 cards for the Artisan Contest, plus 3 Scrapbook pages and two 3D items.)  I wanted to create a “quilt” look, so I used the Square punch and made a whole bunch of squares with the “Beyond the Garden” Designer series paper.  I made the flower with the Blossom punch, using 3 flowers, each separated in 2 layers, sprayed with a mixture of Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol.  (When they are still wet, you can crumple the flower as you wish and let them dry…) The small flowers were made the same way but with the “Boho Blossom” punch.  The leaves were made with the Blossom Petal Builder punch and the “Little Leaves” sizzlit die. I scored each leaf and sponged them with Wild Wasabi ink to add some dimension.  I wanted the card to look as nice open than closed.  So here’s the “open version”:

And here’s the “closed” version: (It’s not a coincidence that everything is aligned properly when you close it!!!)
