Good as Gold Birthday Card with “Dazzling” Crystal Effect

Today, we make a sparkly birthday card with Dazzling diamonds and Crystal Effect! Do you like the joyful dots in the background? The paper comes from the FREE Sale-a-bration card kit “Good as Gold”. Get it now until you can! The Sale-a-bration is ending in less than 3 weeks!

The flame of each candle was cut with the Bird Builder punch (with the bird wing) and colored with a little bit of Pumpkin Pie ink using the Blender pen. The flame of each candle was covered with Crystal Effect and before it dries,  I sprinkled some dazzling diamonds to make them really shiny!    The dazzling diamonds glitters get caught in the crystal effect as it dries.  The candles were embossed with the Stripes and Chevron embossing folders. I used the Curly Label punch to cut the shape at the top of the candle. The trick is to insert only one end of your strip from the top of the punch.

NaBloPoMo Day 25: Wreath Card (with Bird Builder punch)

This is a card that I wanted to make for a long time but never really took the time to make. Finally, I got around to make it!

I used the Bird Builder punch to make the wreath (the little branch on that punch). I used 3 different green card stocks: Gumball Green, Garden Green and Wild Wasabi.  I added little Real Red flowers punched with the Itty Bitty Shape punch pack and added a small circle in Gold Glimmer paper punched with the Owl builder punch. I made a miniature bow with Real Red card stock. To make the door, I cut 4 rectangles in Early Espresso card stock and scored the lines with the Simply Scored Scoring board and I glued them on a piece of Early Espresso card stock. The door handle is an Antique brad.

Artisan Award Entry #7: Chalkboard Card

Welcome to Day 7 of my Artisan Award entries!  This is the fourth card of the five I made and probably the simplest one.  I wanted to used the chalkboard technique since it was  so popular! For this technique, you heat embossed the image with White embossing powder and then use the White Craft ink and a sponge to make it look like a chalkboard.  The background is made with little strip of papers from Comfort Café and Patio Party Designer series paper, that I cut to about 1/2″ and perfectly aligned!  The stamp is from Vintage Verse (a Sale-a-bration set from last year.)  I added a little flower from the flower trim and leaves were cut with the Little Leaves Sizzlits die and sponged with Soft Suede.

My favorite part was actually the little bird inside the card.  I aligned the bird punch so that the printed paper pattern made his eye and beak. Do you like it?

An Owl birthday!

Today’s card is another Owl card!!! The owl punch is one of my favorite punch! You can make so much with it (even tulips! click here to see how to do this!)

This card is all about circles, I used 5 different circle punches, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-3/4″ and 2-1/2″ for behind the owl. I randomly glued the circles on the background and ran it through the Square Lattice embossing folder. The little branch for the Owl is made with the Bird Builder punch, another of my favorite punch!

Here’s a card I just made using it.  I made the tulips using two of the smaller petal sizes.  Each petal was sponged with Calypso Coral ink. I also used the Bird Builder punch for the little leaves and the Itty Bitty punch pack for the small pink flowers.  I’m pretty happy with the final result!

Anniversary Birds Card

Lately my parents celebrated their 40th Anniversary! This called for a very special card! This is the card I made for them. As they both love birds, I thought that it would be a nice touch to incorporate birds inside my design! I used the Bird Builder punch for the birds, the Heart collection Framelits and 2 embossing folders, Elegant Lines (which is on sale right now, on the retiring list for $7.46) and Framed Tulips. I used Crumb Cake ink to sponge over the embossed parts as well as to outline the birds. A little rose from the Flower trim and the Crochet Trim complete the card.

First Communion Card

My nephew did his First Communion today and I wanted to share with you the card I made for him. I used the Square Lattice Bigz die to make the cross. A little strip of Sycamore Street designer series paper was perfect to make this card, as it kind of look like a church window.
