Celebrate World Card Making Day Today!!!

Today’s World Card Making Day!  I have a special card for you to celebrate this! It’s also the “Teacher Day” (Jour des enseignants). So here’s a card for all the teachers too! Your work truly matters! I hope you like it!

Autumn Accents Merci

I used the Autumn Accent Bigz die to cut my leaves. I used the scoring tool to make the veins and then I sponged them with Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede.

To make the flower, I used a strip of Daffodil Delight 1-1/2″ wide. I scored it every 3/8″ and fold it like an accordion. ((There’s also a Rosette die to make this part easier! ) I sponged the edge with Daffodil Delight. For the flower center, I cut a 1-3/4″ Circle in Early Espresso Core’dinations cardstock and embossed it with Perfect Polka Dots.  The background is also made with the Early Espresso Core’dinations cardstock that I distressed with the sanding block. I used a Burlap ribbon to finish the card.

Material:

Stamp set: Petite Bannières

CS and paper: Early Espresso Core’dinations cardstock, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Real Red,

Ink: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Soft suede

Tools: Big Shot, Autumn Accents, 1-3/4″ Circle punch, Perfect Polka Dots, Simply Scoring Board, Scoring Tool, Sanding Block

Accessories: Burlap ribbon

Thankful Tablescape Kit Thank You Card

This is my fifth project made with the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created kit! It’s another Thank you card. That’s one that we made at my last Stamping club night! We learn about the “Stumping” technique, which works so well with this Magnificient Maple stamp! For this technique, you need to color your stamp with Markers, starting with the lighter color. Then take darker colors and tap on the stamp randomly. Repeat with more colors if you want. For this particular card, I used Crush Curry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede.

If you want to learn cool Stamping Techniques, join me on our next Stamping club night, October 8, at 7:00. (Registration required.)

For the background of this card, I used paper from the kit, (the nice Birch Bark paper!) and other piece of designer papers included. The greeting is from “Wetlands” stamp set.

Thankful Tablescape Kit makes 10 perfect envelopes!

This week is all about the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit! (Check previous posts for more ideas made with that kit!)  I used the “napkin holder” cardstock included in the kit to make an envelope!  Since there’s 10 in the kit, you can make up to 10 envelopes!  I used the designer series paper strip included to make a band around the envelope and a little pre-cut leaf to add an accent. The linen thread is also included in the kit! For $24.95, you get so much supplies! If you want to order one, just email me!

Thankful Tablescape Kit makes a perfect Center piece!

Today’s project is a vase that I decorated using the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit.  This would make a perfect centerpiece for your Thanksgiving dinner table.  Just add a candle or some flowers. The background is the beautiful Birch Bark paper (my favorite from that kit!).  I used the pre-cut Maple leaf from the kit and cut a few more with the Autumn Accents Bigz die. I folded the leaves to create the veins and sponged them with Soft Suede ink.

Thankful Tablescape Kit perfect for a Scrapbook page!

If you haven’t seen yesterday’s post, make sure to check it! I’m using the same kit called “Thankful Tablescape Simply Created kit” to create 5 different projects this week.

Today’s project is a Scrapbook page layout. This kit is awesome for Scrapbooking!  I love the little black tags (all printed and pre-cut for you!) that come in the kit. I used it to write my title “Fall 2013”. The kit comes with the White Stampin’ Chalk marker, perfect to write on the black tag! When you try it, you’ll want it for sure!

I used the 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon on this Scrapbook page as well as the Magnificient Maple stamp in the background. The yellow maple leaf comes from the kit and I cut the 2 other leaves with the Autumn Accents Bigz die. If you want to order this kit, just email me at julie_olivier@hotmail.com.

Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit Card

This week, I would like to share with you a few projects that I made with the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit.  This kit is available in the Holiday mini-catalogue for $24.95.  It’s my personal favorite!  There’s so much products in there, it’s absolutely THE hidden gem of the catalogue.  The kit is made to create table settings for 10 people for a nice decor for your Thanksgiving holiday. It contains  napkin holders (cardstock holders, Designer Series Paper belly bands, name banners, journaling cards); table tents (Designer Series Paper bases, die-cut chalkboard labels, White Stampin’ Chalk Marker); centerpiece wraps (birch paper ribbon, Chocolate Chip paper ribbon); accents (Linen Thread and 20 die-cut printed leaves).

Here’s the image of the kit. It barely shows all the potential of this kit…

I don’t really plan on making anything for my Thanksgiving dinner table with this kit. However, if you want to create some Fall theme cards or Scrapbook page, this is the best kit ever!

I have 5 projects to show you this week, so make sure to come back to check the rest of the projects!

The first one is a card.  I used the Birch bark paper (that’s my favorite!) for the background and the Designer paper band.  I also used the pre-cut leafs that come in the kit (you get 10 of each!) and simply add a button and Cherry Cobbler seam binding to finish the card.

5. Stamp the “Thank You” image with Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White cardstock. Cut around with scissors.
