Saying Goodbye to Fox and Friends

“Fox and Friends” is a really cute stamp set and it will be retiring at the end of the month, so if you want to put your hands on it before it’s too late, let me know!!!  I used the monkey from that set to make this “party invitation” card.  The little party hat is from “Turtle and Co” (remember this one is also going at the end of the month!)  “P” is for Party is from the Occasions Alphabet.

Maybe, you’re wondering how I made the background…  I used the brayer and some “bubble wrap”!!!  Here’s how it’s done:

1- I brayered Daffodil Delight ink right on the bubble wrap.  Then, I put a piece of glossy white paper on top and brayer on the back of the paper so the ink transfers on the paper.  Peel off carefully because it won’t be dry yet.  Let dry before applying the next color. (or not if you want them to blend together…)

2- Repeat the same process with “Pool Party” ink (light turquoise) and ” Pumpkin Pie” ink (orange).  Voilà!!!

For the rest of the card, I used the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder and the crimper to make a little border that looks almost like a ribbon… I love the crimper for that!  Unfortunatly, the crimper will also retire at the end of May, so get it while it’s still available!
