Fall Forever Fern

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had the chance to go outside this week-end and enjoy the nice fall colours! I tried to capture the bright colours of the leaves with this card. I used the Forever Fern stamp set and matching Forever Flourishig Dies. I cut the leaves in Daffodil Delight and sponged them with Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler. I added more leaves in the back, cut in Cherry Cobbler, and others stamped with Tangelo Twist ink.

On my piece of White cardstock, I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and Crushed Curry ink and added some ink splatters in Crushed Curry.

In the background, I used the beautiful “In Good Taste Designer Series paper. I also sponged the edges with Crumb Cake to add some shadow effect.

Fall Birthday Card

Here’s a perfect card for someone celebrating her birthday in the Fall.  The background paper is from Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper (find it on p.18 in the Holiday catalogue. The colors and patterns of that DSP are so nice!) I used the Autumn Accent die to cut the leave and the Pansy Punch to make the flower.  A little sponging makes some wonders and voila!

Material:

Stamp set: Exprimez-vous

CS and paper: Tango Tangerine, Whisper White, Gumball Green, Crusch Curry, Chocolate Chip, Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Tango Tangerine, Pumpkin Pie,

Tools: Big Shot, Autumn Accents Bigz die, Pansy Punch, Boho Blossom punch, Blossom Petal Builder punch, sponge, scoring tool

Accessories: Natural Designer button, Linen thread

Instructions:

1. Cut a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Sheet of Tango Tangerine. Fold in half to make the card base.

2. Cut a 4″ x 5″ Rectangle in Whisper White. Cut 3 strips of 1″ x 4-1/2″ in Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper. Adhere in place with Snail adhesive.

3. Cut a Maple leaf using the Autumn Accents Bigz die and the Big Shot. Take your scoring tool and mark your leaf to make the veins. (Tip: use a soft surface under your leaf such as the piercing mat.) Sponge Cherry Cobbler on top. Adhere in place.

4. Cut 2 flowers with the Pansy punch in Crush Curry cardstock. Sponge the edges with Pumpkin Pie ink. Cut a smaller flower in Chocolate Chip cardstock with the Boho Blossom punch. Glue in the center of the flower. Thread a Natural Designer button with Linen thread and make a bow. Attach with a glue dot. Cut 3 Gumball Green leaves with the Blossom Petal Builder punch.

5. Stamp you greeting in Tango Tangerine on a small strip of Whisper White cardstock. Cut a “flag” at one end. Adhere your flower and greeting to your card.
