Sweet Tasty Trucks

Today’s card is made with one of the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set called Tasty Trucks. (Get it free with your order of $60 or more!) I made this card for my niece’s birthday. I used a piece of an old Designer Series paper (sorry can’t recall the name!) that matched really well the ice cream cone that comes with that stamp set! This paper is retired, however you can get a very similar Designer Series paper called “Tasty Treats“available in the Occasion mini-catalogue on p.33.

I used the markers and my blender pen to color the truck. Then I cut out one of the ice cream cone from the designer paper and glued it on top of a 1-1/4” pink circle, for an instantaneous “embellishment”!

Sale-a-bration set Petite Pretties: a two for one!

I’ve been so busy lately with my classes and workshops that I couldn’t post any cards. But today’s a 2 for 1! You get 2 cards in one day!!!

The Sale-a-bration set “Petite Pretties” is so cute and it’s made to match the Sale-a-bration punch “Petite Curly Label”! They are two of my favorite items!!!  I used both in the two cards I made for you today.  It’s not too late to get these 2 items for free! Email me your order before March 22!!!

The first card uses the new Honeycomb embossing folder and the Sycamore Designer Series paper (you can get this free too as a Sale-a-bration item!!!).  Here’s a little trick I learned for cutting your hexagons to go inside the “honeycomb”. Run a piece of DSP through the Big Shot with the Honeycomb embossing folder and then, follow the embossed lines to cut the hexagons.  You will be sure it fits just right!!!

I used the Curly Label punch to frame my Petite Curly Label and used the Essential Piercing pack to make the little holes all around for a nice finishing touch.

For the second one, I layered the Petite Curly Label on top of the Postage Stamp punch and added a little flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack, with a rhinestone to complete it. I took the colors from the Sycamore DSP: Summer Starfruit, Tangerine Tango and Island Indigo.

Vintage Verse and Circles say “Thanks!”

I think today’s card is pretty colorful and it makes me happy! What do you think? I used a bunch of circles and added different embossing to make it more interesting!  The big “Thanks” from “Vintage Verse” stamp set adds an other focal point.  I like the button too (those are the buttons from the Sale-a-bration items!!! You can get them in a bundle in 3 colors along with 3 color satin ribbons.)

Sale-a-bration Vintage Verse: “Just because…”

When I started to make this card, it was something completely different!!! You never know how it’s going to turn out after all!

I used the Vine Street embossing folder (the folder you can get as a FREE item during the Sale-a-bration) for the background and a strip of Sycamore Street designer series paper (also a Sale-a-bration item).  The greeting is from “Vintage Verse”, one of the SAB set, stamped in Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White cardstock and cut with the Decorative Label punch.

Vintage Verse flower

To make the flower, I used the Creped Filter paper (available in the mini-catalogue p.6).  I used  the 2-3/8″ and the 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle punches to cut two flowers of each size. I also used the Boho Blossom punch to cut the biggest flower of that punch.  Then, with a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Indigo Island ink, I sprayed each flower and let dry.  I stacked all the flowers, attached with a Rich Razzleberry glimmer brad and crumpled the flowers to add some dimension. I used glue dots to attach the Pool Party satin ribbon underneath.

Vintage Verse Sale-a-bration set meets Bloomin’ Marvelous

For today’s card, I used 2 Sale-a-bration sets: Vintage Verse (There’s only one you) and Bloomin’ Marvelous (the Turquoise butterfly).  The other butterfly is from the “Papillon Potpourri” set, that I really like too! You can now get the smaller butterfly punch that coordinate with both the Papillon Potpourri and Bloomin’ Marvelous. (It’s called “Bitty Butterfly”.) I wanted to make the butterfly really stand out, to go with the greeting “There’s only one you”.  I stamped it in Midnight Muse ink and colored it with the Markers. It’s raised with a dimensional to make it “pop” even more.  In the background, I used the new Honeycomb embossing folder.

Feeling Sentimental: Velocipede

Today’s card is another card made with the Feeling Sentimental stamp set, a Sale-a-bration set that you can earn for free now until March 22!!!

I played a lot with texture and colors for this card. What do you think?

For the background, I used the new Creped Filter Paper, available in the new mini-catalogue.  It’s almost like tissue paper except that it has the strenght of card stock.  It’s great for many purposes and makes a great background!

I used the new Honeycomb embossing folder as well as the Chevron folder to add texture. The 2 brads mimic the dots on the Designer paper.

Feeling Sentimental meets Petite Pretties!

First, I wasn’t sure what to do with this phone booth stamp from the Sale-a-bration set “Feeling Sentimental”… And then I saw the “hello” stamp from the set “Petite Pretties” (also a SAB set that you can earn for free!) and it clicked!!! So here’s the card I created:

Feeling Sentimental phone

A few tricks and tips:

I colored the phone booth with the Blender pen and Real Red ink and sponged some Bashful blue in the background.  The Petite Pretties stamps coordinate with the Petite Curly punch (also a SAB item you can get for free with a $60 order). I stamped the “hello” on Whisper White card stock and used the Petite Curly punch to cut them out. It’s much easier to space evenly on your card, than trying to stamp directly on your card. For the “{ }” stamp, it’s also from the Petite Pretties set, but it’s not long enough to stamp “thinking of you” inside the brakets. So I used the Black Stampin’ Marker and color only one “{“. I stamped it twice, one on each side of the “thinking of you”. (Just turn your stamp over since it’s symmetrical!)

The designer series paper is from the  Holiday mini-catalogue “Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack”. I thought the zigzag line looked like a phone cord!

Here’s the Feeling Sentimental set. Email me of you want to earn it free!!!
