Lift me up… to retirement!

The Lift me up beautiful stamp set and matching Thinlits is the perfect set for masculine cards but also for anybody going on a trip, new adventures or retirement! I made this card for a co-worker who just retired. My favorite part in this set is certainly this beautiful hot air balloon! I used Night of Navy card stock for the outer, with Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight in the background. I used the sponge dauber to add some Night of Navy ink on the outside to add more depth to my hot air balloon. This bundle also has beautiful clouds framelits! I also sponged the clouds’ borders with Pool Party ink and used dimensionals to raise a few up, to add dimension to the card.

The background is made with a designer series paper from the last Occasion catalogue called Cupcake and Carousel.

Greetings is from the stamp set called “Fleurs de l’âge”. (Wild about flowers)

NaBloPoMo Day 30: Retirement Card

Last day of the NaBloPoMo challenge!  (I did it! I succeed in posting every day for the past month! and I’m really happy!!!)  But don’t worry, I will still make cards and post my creations in the future… It’s not my retirement!!! Our school secretary retired this week and we were really sad to see her go. I made her a card that I will share with you today.

I used the “Everything Eleanor” stamp set. That set has a very classic look and I really like it! I mixed 2 colors on my card: Crisp Cantaloup and Smoky Slate to get the look I wanted. The flowers were colored with the Blender pen and Crisp Cantaloup ink. I also used the Calypso Coral marker for the center for a darker color.

The background is embossed with Modern Mosaic folder. I think it makes a nice “border” around… Do you like it?
