Saying Good-Bye to “Bordering on Romance”

“Bordering on Romance “stamp set is on the retiring list… That means if you want to order it, you have until the end of May, that’s it! The 2 following cards were made with that stamp set.

For the first one, I stamped 3 flowers and used the 1” Square punch to capture part of the image. I then superposed on top of the Postage Stamp punch. I stamped a row of flowers on the side and I added a Midnight Muse Stitched Satin ribbon to finish the card.

Bordering on romance blue

Material used:

Stamp set: Bordering on Romance

CS and paper: Natural White, Marina Mist, Whisper White

Ink: Midnight Muse

Tools: Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots folder, 1″ Square punch, Postage Stamp punch

Accessories: Midnight Muse Stitched Satin ribbon

On the second card, I used Bordering on Romance stamps in Basic Black on the background. The flower (from Mixed Bunch stamp set) is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Real Red card stock and cut using the Blossom punch. I used the button stamp from the Button Buttons stamp set (also retiring at the end of the month) for the center of the flower. The greeting is from Wishes your Way set, found in the Occasions mini-catalogue.

Bordering on Romance 2

This is another card I made with the stamp set Bordering on Romance.  I used the blender pen and ink pad to color the flowers.  (A little tip when you want to color with ink and blender pen: press the lid onto the pad before opening it.  Then, when you open your pad you have a little pool of ink in your lid where you can dip the blender pen…)

I also used the Twitterpated Designer Series paper for the background.

Stamp set: Bordering on romance

CS and paper: Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Twitterpated DSP

Ink: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler

Other: blender pen, Old Olive taffeta ribbon

Bordering on Romance

This is a card that uses a nice stamp set still available for a short time: Bordering on Romance.  Check it on p.11 in the Occasion mini-catalogue, and get it before it’s too late (April 30th is the final date!!!) I stamped the flower in Black StazOn ink and use the Watercolor crayons to color it. The beautiful Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, (also available until April 30th only!) goes well with this stamp set as the flowers are the same… And I really like the stamp with the row of flowers (lower edge of the card)…

Stamp set: Bordering on Romance (#125480 W or 125482 C), Elementary Elegance (from SAB)

CS and paper: Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Twitterpated DSP

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, StazOn Black ink
