Birthday Bubble Card!

School is now over and I’m enjoying the Summer with my 3 children at home! First week was devoted to repainting our huge deck! It took the full week, trust me! I’m now back with a few projects to share with you! (including many new sets and items from the new catalog!!!)

Today’s project is a fun Birthday card! I used the new Birthday set “Birthday Surprise” and the Word Bubble framelits and Just Sayin’ coordinated stamp set. The background paper is from the Moonlight Designer Series paper pack (new item found on p.185). Do you like this new dark purple? I simply love it! It’s one of the new In-Color, called Blackberry Bliss.

Here’s the Birthday Surprise stamp set:

Birthday Surprise

Birthday Surprise set Clear #134120 or Birthday Surprise set Wood #134117

Material:

Stamp set: Birthday Surprise, Just Sayin’, Something to Say

CS and paper: Crush Curry, Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake, Whisper White

Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry

Tools: Big Shot, Word Bubble Framelits, Circle Framelits, 1-1/4″ Circle punch

Instructions:

1. Cut half a sheet of Crush Curry Card stock. Fold in half to form the card base.

2. Cut a 5-1/4″ x 4″ rectangle of “Moonlight Designer series paper”. Use circle from the Circle Framelits Collection to cut 2 circles (top and bottom left). Cut a 3rd circle with the 1-1/4″ Circle punch.

3. Use scrap pieces of Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry and Crush Curry card stock to stamp the cupcake, balloon and present image with Blackberry Bliss ink. (I used Rich Razzleberry ink for the balloon).  Adhere behind the cut circles. Adhere on the card base.

4. Stamp “Bubble saying” (Just Sayin’ stamp set) with Blackberry Bliss ink. Cut with matching Framelits and Big Shot. For the “Happy Birthday” I used the “Something to Say” stamp set in one of the Bubble. Use the marker to only stamp the bubble outline and then stamp the “Happy Birthday” in the bubble. Adhere on the card with dimensionals.
