Secret Garden Card and Deals of the Week

First, here’s the Deal of the Week:

special week May27-June2

The Stripes embossing folder is on sale! For only $7.46, you shouldn’t miss that one! Plus, it’s only available for another 5 days! After that, it will be discontinued! The coolest thing with that folder is that you can make your own “plaid” pattern like in the card below. (Click here to see how it’s done!)

Baby print carotté

Now, for today’s card, I used the Stripe embossing folder in the background. I used the retiring stamp set “Secret Garden” to make my own “designer series paper” in a neutral tone.  I really like this combination of colors, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. I find it very elegant!

Secret Garden Crumb Cake

Material:

Stamp set: Secret Garden, Wetlands

CS and paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso

Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso

Tools: Big Shot, Stripes embossing folder, Labels Collection Framelits dies

Accessories: Basic Black satin ribbon

Instructions:

1. Cut half a sheet of Crumb Cake card stock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ ). Fold in half to form the card base. Run through the Big Shot with the Stripes embossing folder (front of the card only).

2. Cut a 4″ x 4″ Very Vanilla card stock. Stamp flowers from “Secret Garden” stamp set with Crumb Cake ink and Early Espresso ink. Wrap a Black satin ribbon around the upper edge. Secure both ends of the ribbon at the back with Snail adhesive. Adhere on the card.

3. Cut the smallest “label” framelits in Very Vanilla and the size bigger in Early Espresso card stock with the Big Shot and Labels Collection Framelits dies. Stamp the Very Vanilla label with the flower in Crumb Cake ink and with the greeting in Early Espresso ink. Glue on top on the larger label. Adhere on the card with dimensionals.
