Welcome to my first Technique Thursday! Every Thursday, I will post a different stamping technique! I hope you’ll get inspire to try some! Today’s technique is called the “Polished Stone” Technique. This technique is done using a cotton ball soaked with rubbing alcohol and some re-inkers (ink refills).
Here’s the card I’ve made, with the beautiful stamp set called Happy Watercolor. (p.22 in the Occasions mini-catalogue) To order it, click here!
Here’s a close-up:
Soak your cotton ball with rubbing alcohol.
Add a few drops of each classic reinkercolor onto your soaked cotton ball, alternating colors so they won’t be next to each other.
Dab the cotton ball over your card stock.
Continue dabbing until you achieve the look you want.
Let dry completely before stamping your image over.
After my background was all done and dried, I stamp the flower image with StazOn Black ink and I used the Blender pen to color the flowers. I embossed a simple “Needlepoint” Border on the side to complete the card.
