NaBloPoMo Day 15: Special Season and Woodgrain

Day 15 of the National Blog Post Month (NaBloPoMo)! This means we’re half way there!  I hope you are enjoying my Blog Post marathon!!!

I’m back with a Christmas card for you today.  This one was made with the Special Season stamp set (in the Holiday catalogue p.29.) If you like that set and would like to order it, you can do so right here. Click on “Shop” and add item #131766 for Wood or #131769 for Clear.

The Christmas tree was stamped in Garden Green ink on a Natural White card base.  The ornaments were colored with the Blender pen and Cherry Cobbler ink. I also added a little halo of light around the top of the tree, with a Sponge Dauber and Daffodil Delight ink. I used the Early Espresso Core’dination card stock and ran it thought the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder. I sanded it to make it look like real bark.  The inside of the Core’dination card stock is lighter so you can see the “woodgrain” very well after you sand it gently.  I cut the Oval with the Oval Collection Framelits. To finish the card, I added a Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon and a Very Vintage Designer button.
