NaBloPoMo Day 13: Tealight Reindeer

I have another cute craft for you today!  I have to say that this is not my idea. I saw this on Pinterest and I decided to make my own… The main idea is to use the tealight candle (a battery operated one!) to make the nose! Children really like to see it light up!

The head is a 2-1/2″ Circle made of Chocolate Chip Card stock. The ears were made with the Blossom Petal Builder punch. The eyes and nose are cut with the 3/4″ Circle punch.  The nose is cut from the Cherry Cobbler glimmer paper. The inside of the eye are made with the circle from the Itty Bitty Punch pack.  I hand draw the antlers and cut them with scissors.

After you make the reindeer face, simply punch a circle using the Itty Bitty Punch pack in the nose.  Insert the tealight in the hole. I used dimensionals to glue the candle to the face. Make sure to punch your hole far enough so you won’t see the tealight underneath.  Then I added a little bow and a Cherry Cobbler/White baker’s twine to hang it.

Material:

CS and paper: Chocolate Chip, Baked Brown Sugar, Cherry Cobbler Glimmer paper, Whisper White, Basic Black

Tools: 2-1/2″ Circle punch, 3/4″ Circle punch, Itty Bitty punch pack, Blossom Petal Builder punch

Other: Electric tealight candle, Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler/White Baker’s Twine
