Artisan Award Entry #7: Chalkboard Card

Welcome to Day 7 of my Artisan Award entries!  This is the fourth card of the five I made and probably the simplest one.  I wanted to used the chalkboard technique since it was  so popular! For this technique, you heat embossed the image with White embossing powder and then use the White Craft ink and a sponge to make it look like a chalkboard.  The background is made with little strip of papers from Comfort Café and Patio Party Designer series paper, that I cut to about 1/2″ and perfectly aligned!  The stamp is from Vintage Verse (a Sale-a-bration set from last year.)  I added a little flower from the flower trim and leaves were cut with the Little Leaves Sizzlits die and sponged with Soft Suede.

My favorite part was actually the little bird inside the card.  I aligned the bird punch so that the printed paper pattern made his eye and beak. Do you like it?
