Artisan Award Entry #2: Secret Garden Birthday Card

Welcome to Day 2 of my Artisan Award entries!  Today’s card is a very feminine card with a Vintage look… That was my intention anyway!!! Let me know if you think I achieve it!

I used one of my favorite stamp set: Secret Garden.  That set has framelits that match the images so you don’t have to cut the flower by hand!  How great is that!!!

For this card, I heat embossed the largest flower with White embossing powder and colored the inside with the blender pen and Primrose Petal ink. The two other flowers were stamped in Pink Pirouette three times each and layered. (The inside layers were cut with scissors. No framelits for that!)  I sponged the edges of each layer with Crumb Cake ink for an “Antique” look and added Basic pearls in the center. The paper in the background is from Fan Fair Designer Series Paper. I added a Tea Lace Paper Doily and a nice Vanilla Seam Binding Bow to complete the card.
