Artisan Award Non-Winning Entry Day 7: My Dragonfly Scrapbook page

Here’s another Scrapbook page that I submitted to the Artisan Award.  It’s an 8 by 8 inches page.  I wanted to use this picture since it was a truly amazing one! My daughter had found a dragonfly on the beach and was able to put it on her finger! Even more, we were able to snap a picture before it took off!

For the background, I stamped “Baroque Motifs” with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then sponged some color to make it “pop out”: Pool Party at the top and Crumb cake at the bottom. For the dragonfly, I used window sheet that I cut in Oval shape. I scribbled on each one with Pacific Blue, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Markers, then added Crystal Effect for a “real wing” effect!!! The flowers were made with Boho Blossom punch, separating each flower into 2 layers and sprayed with a mixture of Shimmer paint and rubbing alcool.  I used a rhinestone brad to put them together.  The smaller flowers were fringed flowers, which is a quilling technique.
